Pantry Organizing with Luxe Report Designs
Luxe Report Designs’ fabulous work styling homes and events all over the Palm Beach area is both eye candy and inspiration. When an opportunity came up to collaborate with Lauren (one half of the LRD duo) on her walk in pantry, I was thrilled.
Although Lauren is already pretty organized, but she did face a few challenges. Her main goal is that she wanted her pantry to feel like an extension of her incredibly stylish home.
Challenge One: Lauren’s pantry had almost no bins to keep things contained.
The toughest part was finding bins that met Lauren’s aesthetic. After scouring the Internet for options, we went with her find from Target. The Threshold bins are sturdy and come in three sizes giving us the ultimate flexibility when organizing items by category. We ended up reusing her black and white stripe bins on the lower shelves for easy grab kid snacks. We also incorporated her Anchor Hocking glass jars along with high quality acrylic canisters from The Container Store to keep snacks fresh.
Challenge Two: Lauren has the most stylish entertaining stuff, but it was stored in multiple places in her home.
When you’re a regular entertainer like Lauren, these things are going to accumulate. We gathered and organized all those items like plates, cups, napkins, and party accessories. Although beautiful, small and medium sized items like pitchers and ice buckets can still look cluttered on open shelving. We grouped items by type and organized in bins.
Challenge Three: Lauren’s kitchen has lots of cabinets, but the space wasn’t being used to full potential.
Lauren always leaves the pantry door open, which is why she wanted the space to feel like an extension of her home. However, lots of the more unsightly kitchen items like appliances were being stored on open shelving. We re-thought how she was using lower cabinet space in the kitchen to make room for those items.
The final product is a pantry just as stylish and fabulous as Lauren.
